Misfortune Records has announced the signing of Toronto, Ontario, Canada's hardcore metal act A DISTANCE FROM. The band will enter Metal Works Studios in Toronto in June to begin recording its debut EP, titled "Transitions". A fall release is expected.

"I'm looking forward to exposing A DISTANCE FROM's talents to the world, their sound and influence grabs their audience and is pushing forward the Toronto hardcore scene," says Misfortune Records founder Chris Comete.

A DISTANCE FROM frontman Troy adds: "We're really excited on joining the Misfortune family, they've been a huge supporter of the underground hardcore scene in Toronto and I have so much respect for Chris Comete who has been pushing the scene further over the last few years. I can't wait to get in studio and scream my lungs out for this EP. It's going to be a jaw-dropper."

A DISTANCE FROM is a melting pot of influences ranging from BIGGIE SMALLS to PANTERA and DEFTONES.

The group's current lineup is:

Troy - Lungs
